WHAT IS THE ATTIRE?

We kindly ask our guests to dress in formal attire for the celebration, black tie.

HOW LONG IS AN ORTHODOX WEDDING?

A Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony typically lasts about 45 minutes to an hour.

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THE STEFANA (CROWNS)?

The crowns in an Orthodox wedding symbolize the glory and honor God bestows on the couple, as well as their shared responsibility and martyrdom in a life of love and faith together. They also represent the couple’s new kingdom, their home, which they are called to rule with wisdom, justice, and love, following Christ’s example.

HOW WILL I KNOW HOW TO GREEK DANCE?

Kalamatiano is a great intro dance to learn before the wedding! We look forward to dancing with you! Here is an instructional video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6KiZDFcW4u

CAN I BRING A GUEST OR MY CHILDREN TO THE WEDDING?

We kindly ask that only those listed on your invitation join us in celebrating our special day. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate together!

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR THE CEREMONY?

We recommend arriving 20–25 minutes early to allow time for parking and finding your seat before the ceremony begins. Please note that once the wedding procession starts, the church doors will be closed, and guests will need to wait until after the ceremony to enter.

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

Parking is available in the church parking lot located directly behind the church.
